Park Viridian is proud to be Anaheim's first LEED Gold (new construction) building. Our community is also GreenPoint Rated (multifamily).
Using environmentally friendly construction practices promoted by national and state organizations, Park Viridian transformed an industrial area of Anaheim's Platinum Triangle into a sustainable, clean building. Living within the environmentally friendly community of Park Viridian has many benefits:
- Energy-efficient windows increase natural light and minimize heat gain. Park Viridian exceeds California’s Title 24 requirements for energy efficiency by more than 17 percent, resulting in decreased resident utility costs.
- Indoor air quality is a top priority at Park Viridian. The use of low-volatile organic compound (VOC) paints, sealants and carpet systems limits the release of harmful chemicals into the air.
- Kitchen faucets have flow-restricting aerators, reducing water use and saving energy. Bathrooms have dual-flush toilets, which can reduce water usage by 67 percent and save 6,000 gallons of water a year.
- Park Viridian's urban location is convenient to restaurants, convenience stores, shopping and entertainment, which promotes walking, public transportation and biking. This benefits the local community with less traffic congestion and supports our commitment to the environment.
- More than 96 percent of construction waste was diverted from landfills simply by reusing the pre-existing asphalt on site and properly disposing of recyclable waste.
